PDF Write
CutePDF Writer allows you to
convert any printable document to PDF format. It installs as a
virtual printer and is available from any application that
offers a `Print` option. The program is easy to use, just
select the CutePDF printer and click the print button. Some
advanced options are also available (scaling, multi-page
layouts, print quality and more). Unlike most other free PDF
creators, this one does not insert any watermarks at all -
however it depends on the install of a free converter, which
can be easily downloaded and installed. If you are looking for
easy, no hassle conversion to PDF format, you should give this
one a try!

Notes
PrestoNotes lets you create
virtual notes on your desktop, that can be hidden or shown as
needed. Each note can be customized in color and font, and
even include an image files. Furthermore, you can set
recurring alarms that are associated with a note, update or
launch a local file when the note changes and more.
PrestoNotes also includes a small email checker, that can
notify you when new mail arrives in your POP account. The
program runs in the system tray and lets you manage all active
notes from a main interface, that allows you to easily show or
hide any note.

Remlap KnowledgeBASE is a
free-form text, image and objects organizer that can help
store and index all your information is a searchable
KnowledgeBASE file. Add documents by typing directly, or
import selected text segments via drag and drop or clipboard
copy. You can select keyword for each document, insert JPG or
BMP images (no GIF support) and objects, export documents to
RTF and more. Other feastures include multi-user/network

FreeMind
FreeMind is an open source mind
mapping software that enables you to visualize ideas,
projects, concepts, brainstorming, internet research or any
other task that can benefit from a structured overview. You
can create nodes with child and sibling nodes and add icons,
clouds, notes and custom formatting for better presentation.
The nodes can be expanded or collapsed, or interactively
linked to local files, other maps, online resources and more.
You can also insert encrypted nodes or create encrypted maps
for sesitive projects. The finished maps can be exported to
HTML, clickable XHTML, Open Office document, image file and
other formats.
